“While YouTube and other websites are chock full of content, the teachers I work with report that finding really high-quality, standards-aligned content they can quickly integrate into instruction is difficult,” said Amy Fraboni, the K-5 Instructional Technologist in North Carolina’s Greene County Schools. “Discovery Education makes that process of finding standards-aligned digital resources that are both engaging and appropriate for classroom use simple, saving my teachers a tremendous amount of time that can then spend with their students.”
Educators using Discovery Education’s digital services also receive support from the Discovery Education Community. A global community of education professionals, the Discovery Education Community connects members across school systems and around the world through social media, virtual conferences, and in-person events, fostering valuable networking, idea sharing, and inspiration.
“Discovery Education’s mission is to prepare learners for tomorrow by creating innovative classrooms connected to today’s world,” said Discovery Education Vice President of Digital Content Robin Porter. “We are excited to add these great new resources to Discovery Education Experience and the Science and the Social Studies Techbooks, and we will continue to add new content to all our services to ensure they continue to be educators’ ‘go to’ tools for creating lessons that connect the classroom to the world.”
